Dr. Michael Panik Retires from Barney
During his 40-year career at the University of Hartford, Dr. Panik has served the University in many capacities. He has served as department chair; a member of the Faculty Senate; a member of the Barney School Promotion and Tenure Committee; and two terms as a faculty representative on the Provost Committee, as well as numerous other committee assignments.
In 2000, Panik received the James E. and Frances W. Bent Award for Scholarly and/or Artistic Creativity for his impressive scholarly accomplishments, including several books and numerous journal articles.
Dr. Panik has also been awarded emeritus status.
He will still be nearby if we need his wise counsel and advice. He will have an office in the university library where he plans to begin working on his sixth book.
Congratulations and good luck Dr. Panik.
