Barney Welcomes New Faculty
The Barney School will have six new faculty members this semester.  A hearty welcome to our new members: Linda Cohen, Assistant Professor of Management, Andy Hao, Assistant Professor of Marketing, Lillian Kamal, Assistant Professor of Economics, Irina Naoumova, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, Stephen Ruggerio, Assistant Professor of Accounting, Ke Yang, Assistant Professor of Economics. 

Barney’s New Investment Course Kicks Off This Fall
The Barney School’s two-semester course, BAR 510/511, Applied Financial Analysis and Investments begins this fall.  Students will gain hands-on experience establishing, managing, and reporting on real investments using resources provided by the University.  In keeping with Barney’s mission statement, the money will be invested in two funds established by the class; a Green fund and a Global fund.   

Governor Rell Visits a Barney Class
Women make great leaders.” That was the message that Connecticut Gov. M. Jodi Rell shared with the Barney School of Business’s “Leadership in the 21st Century” class on Saturday, July 26. Rell spent well over an hour talking with the six members of instructor Jan Brassem’s class, all of whom happen to be women. More..

Second Winter Term Course in Dubai is Announced
	After a very successful trip in 2007/2008, Dr. Steve Congden will be offering his graduate IB 610 International Business course in Dubai during Winter break for the second time in December.  To learn more about this opportunity to visit the most rapidly growing country in the world click here.
